NON-CONTINUING EDUCATION COURSES
These courses are for the General Public who may wish to take a Surveillance course, but are not registered/licensed as PIs, and therefore don't need the continuing education credits for license renewal.
They are the exact same as the CE courses listed above, except there is no "Final Exam" in the course. If you are NOT a licensed PI, you can still take the CE courses listed above, just notate "no license" where it asks for a license or registration number.

Work on the course at your own rate, 30 minutes or 30 hours, it's up to you. You can advance the slides when you are comfortable you've learned the material. Your login gives you 30 days to complete the course. You can log in/out multiple times and come back to review before completing the course.
Note: These courses do not "License" you as a PI in Texas or any other state. They are either for Continuing Education when renewing your PI Registration (in approved states) or for learning purposes. Please see the FAQ page for more information. Also be aware that before you attempt to register as a PI in Texas, under the Private Security Act (Occ. Code Chapter 1702) and Administrative Rule 35.4 (37 Tex. Admin. Code 1), a criminal conviction may disqualify you from a registration, commission or license under the Act. You may wish to review Rule 35.4's list of disqualifying offenses and the related periods of ineligibility, available on the department's website at http://www.dps.texas.gov/rsd/psb/index.htm (click on the Laws tab and then click on Administrative Code). You also have a right to request from the department a criminal history evaluation letter under Occupations Code Section 53.102.
